#54: The feels: Great Gatsby

Since I haven't blogged about my experience reading this book yet, I thought I would do it now. This book is amazing yet awful and so good and terrible at the same time. In every book,  always have a character that I absolutely hate, but in this book, it was hard to find one that I absolutely hated. Tom Buchanan I didn't particularly like, but I wasn't wishing for him to die off or leave (which is what I usually do when I don't like a character in a book). Daisy was kid of annoying, but people are annoying in general so I didn't think about that too much. Gatsby though. Leonardo DiCaprio played the PERFECT Gatsby. I mean seriously he is just so perfect as Gatsby it hurts (just like those bullets did…oh yeah, SPOILER ALERT) Myrtle was weird though. I never really liked Myrtle. She didn't really do anything. She contributed to the plot, obviously, but her character herself didn't do much than spend Tom's money and ignore her husband and die. Same with Daisy. Daisy didn't do much either. And Nick, poor Nick, he was somehow caught up in the middle of all of this by one way or another…Such a good book…I miss it.
