So…I have no clue where in the
world I am going with this short story of mine. The plotline seemed so much
better in my head when I was thinking about it and plotting about it but now I
just don’t even know. I am having writer’s block write now. I can’t get any of
my creativity flowing through my brain, which is a serious problem for me right
now because I have to get these blogs done and get them done soon! I love to
write and I have journal after journal of different plotlines at home yet right
now this particular story is not going so well for me. I think I have just over worked my brain with
all of this school work that I have been doing. It’s insanity!!! My mind is
like a gel pen right now. It starts off strong, writing smoothly without any problems,
then, as the ink begins to get low, it begins to skip when your writing, so if
you write the letter “a” it might come out looking like some weird shape that
doesn’t even resemble a letter. At first the skipping isn’t that bad, but then
it begins to skip more and more until eventually it runs out of ink and you can’t
write anymore. Sometimes you can even see the little bit of ink left but it
just isn’t enough to come out of the pen. Well, that’s my brain right now. It’s
out of ink. If only I could just buy a new one…Oh well!
This used to be my blog for my Honors Creative writing class, but now I am just writing to vent or whatever I feel like doing without the restriction of knowing that a teacher will be able to see this. So ignore the first 80 or so blogs because they are just meaningless crap I wrote.

#19: Welcome to America
The voices got louder as footsteps approached the car. Michiko tensed as the door opened and hands grabbed her arm. Though she resisted, the man puled her seemingly effortlessly from the car and dumped her on the ground. She looked next to her and saw her little bother, Chokichi, lying beside her, motionless with a dark purple bruise blossoming on his face, covering half of it.
"What have you done to my brother?" Michiko demanded.
"He wasn't as cooperative as you, little girl, so I had to break him in, show him how things work around here," one of the men said, followed by a sinister laugh.
A string of curses flowed from Michiko's mouth and she was soon gagged. She and Chokichi were forced to walk, Chokichi carried on Michiko's back. They walked out into the extending land in front of them. She walked of what seemed like miles, but finally reached a convoy of cars blockading their way. Everything happened so fast. THe men keeping Michiko and her brother were soon on the ground, men in suits holding them down. One of the men wearing suits ushered Michiko and her brother, still unconscious, into a black truck and sped off into the darkness.

#18: Sneak
"Relax. Your brother will be meeting up with us somewhere else. We had to separate you two so we would be less suspicious. We are just about to cross into America from Mexico. The drugs were supposed to last longer though…You weren't supposed to wake up for at least another four hours or so."
His voice trails off, leaving only the sound of Michiko's sobs. She began to calm down and soon stopped crying, her face changing to an expression of stone.
"You have to stay in the back under this tarp and stay as still as possible, otherwise you'll be riding in the trunk. Got it? I'm not about to let this whole job go south because of one insolent little girl. Now lay back down and put this over you," he said, handing her a tarp.
Michiko obeyed silently, wanting just to see her brother again and get him back. The ride continued on for hours, the whole time Michiko worried about her brother. The engine finally cut off and the car came to a stop. Michiko, hearing other voices, held her breath and held as still as she possibly could. Patiently waiting to see what would happen next.

#17: Plan B
The man placed a cloth over Michiko's mouth and nose. The cloth had a sweet smelling liquid on it which, coupled with Chokichi's screaming and crying, was the last thing that Michiko remembered before her world slipped into the deep dark void of oblivion. She awoke, some time later, with a major headache and something thick and heavy around her head. For a moment or two, she couldn't remember what had happened, but it slowly came back to her. She began to panic. She tried to find her brother, frantically searching for him under the thick tarp. The longer she searched, the more worried she became. She had been so focused on finding her brother that she didn't hear or feel the engine start up and the car start to move. She tried to break free of the tarp but couldn't. Screaming at whoever was driving, she flung herself in every which direction until the car stopped and the tarp was lifted from her head.
"What have you done with my brother? Answer me!" she screamed.
Blinded by tears, she threw a punch in the general direction of the other person, angry at herself when she missed, but more concerned about her brother. Her young, innocent brother.
