#53: In the shower

The shower is a great place to think. Just letting the hot water fall on your body and the steam ring up. It's just so relaxing. Your thoughts can glow clearly in your head, slowing down from their rapid pace from before and they pass by one at a time. There need to be more places as a relaxing as a shower.Maybe that's why people are so stressed nowadays. Obviously, people still take showers (well, all the ones I know anyway), but they don't take showers. Most people just get in, wash, and get out. They don't enjoy the moment of being in the shower and focusing on what the water feels like and enjoying the shower. Having that quality time to yourself is very important to sanity as a person. I know for me, if I don't get time away from people, I get really crabby and rude. Maybe that's just the introvertness, or maybe it's actually just because of being around people too much. Who knows for sure? The point is that enjoying simple moments like the shower (however weird that may sound) can be very beneficial for someone. Even if it is temporary, it is relief from the endless busy fast pace of life. Taking small moments like this can also help get the creative juices goin' in your brain (hence this blog).
